Valley Hi Nursing Home for McHenry County is seeking R.N.'s and L.P.N.'s to work part time. This position has a flexible schedule with every other weekend required.
About Valley Hi Nursing Home
One of the County's proudest moments in recent years was when the doors opened to the new Valley Hi Nursing Home, January of 2007. Valley Hi Nursing Home is home to 127 residents. In the interest of the hardworking Valley Hi staff, the new facility was constructed with wide hallways, large elevators, large rooms and state of the art technology. Valley Hi residents enjoy many amenities in the new facility, including an ice cream parlor, various activities, areas for games, parties and religious services, a library with a fireplace, a beauty shop, a therapy room, and the outdoors was brought inside by decorating the hallways with canopies and skylights.
About the Position
The Registered Nurse and Licensed Practical Nurse works in conjunction with other nursing home staff to provide a safe, comfortable and healthful living environment for our residents.
Additional duties include:
- Performs assessment of assigned residents' physical and mental health to determine residents' current care plans.
- Develops and monitors resident care plans.
- Monitors the administration of medications.
- Prepares and maintains case files and records.
- Monitors vital signs.
- Completes nursing records on each resident.
- Administers and/or monitors physician's or current standing orders.
- Reviews shift reports regarding residents' conditions.
- Regularly monitors and conducts inspections of nursing units.
